Center for Diversion and Services Groundbreaking Ceremony

On Friday, March 31, core Atlanta stakeholders, including Georgia Justice Project, Fulton County, the City of Atlanta, Grady Health System, the Policing Alternatives and Diversion Initiative (PAD), and Bloomberg Associates broke ground on the future site of the Center for Diversion and Services. GJP will operate an innovative Warrant Resolution Clinic within the Diversion Center once operational in 2024. In March 2023, GJP began accepting referral cases through the warrant clinic and will continue to do so until the Center opens. At the groundbreaking event, GJP was joined by representatives of Atlanta Gas Light who have been integral supporters of this effort and other GJP initiatives.
